Primary Purpose:
Provide support for daily human resource operations. Handle routine Human Resources inquiries and provide responsive and knowledgeable assistance to employees. Provide fingerprint and background assistance in investigation for Human Resources operations and employment. Address and track notifications for current employees. Conduct volunteer, substitutes, observers, and student teachers background checks and ensure compliance with state and federal laws concerning fingerprinting requirements of employees and contractors.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification: High school diploma or GED Higher Education preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills: Highly organized and efficient in repetitive tasks Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets, databases, and word documents Ability to perform basic math English proficiency, with excellent communication, interpersonal and writing skills Ability to maintain confidentiality
Experience: Minimum of six (6) months experience in Human Resources or similar setting Minimum of six (6) months experience in background check/fingerprinting processing
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Human Resources Support
1. Ability to accurately enter and/or retrieve information from various computerized systems and/or programs in a timely manner
2. Handle routine Human Resources inquiries to ensure a high level of service, responsiveness and provide knowledgeable support for employees and their supervisors. Explain Human Resources policies and practices to employees as appropriate.
3. Plan, organize, implement and maintain the charter wide biometric fingerprinting process in compliance with senate bill 9.
4. Oversee the charter wide compliance, maintenance and reporting process of state and federal compliance data, and records related to Human Resources.
5. Report notifications of backgrounds and fingerprints. Follow up with Human Resources Director and other charter officials as needed, to ensure adequate communication of findings.
6. Maintain Human Resources information database to ensure that employee information is accurate, current, and reliable.
7. Receive and process applications, including verification of identity, verifying completeness of files and notifying those not selected for employment.
8. Process new hire paperwork including criminal history information and other application materials.
9. Receive and processed volunteer criminal history applications.
10. Process and review criminal history information for new employees, volunteers, and contractors
Reports and Correspondence
11. Prepare written reports, correspondence and memoranda of investigative findings.
12. Prepare correspondence, forms, and reports according to district standards and requirements.
Other
13. Answer and respond to emails, incoming calls, take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff.
14. Greet visitors and assist employees and applicants to complete applications and required paperwork.
15. Maintain confidentiality and operate with high levels of proficiency.
16. Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
17. Any and all other duties assigned by supervisor

Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals; imaging equipment

Lifting: Occasional light to moderate lifting and carrying (less than 44 pounds)
Environment: 100% onsite. May work prolonged or irregular hours
